What are UTDX secret units?
Secret rarity sits above Legendary and Mythic in the UTDX rarity ladder. You cannot pull Secret units from the standard banner pool — each one requires a specific unlock path: completing a World Raid, clearing a Legend Stage, finishing a Gamemode, or evolving a lower-rarity form. As of Update 3.0 Part 2 (June 2026), there are around 14 confirmed Secret-tier units, with drop rates ranging from 3% (Sharpshooter King) to guaranteed (Evil Incarnate). This tracker lets you mark your progress and plan which path to tackle next.
Two of the fourteen unlock as guaranteed drops with no RNG — filter by Gamemode or Evolution to find the most predictable routes first. The highest-difficulty unlocks involve coordinated 6-player World Raids with sustained team DPS requirements that can push 15,000+. See the best builds page for team compositions that meet those thresholds, and check the DPS calculator to verify your loadout before committing to a raid session.

| Unit Name | Unlock Type | Unlock Method | Drop Rate | Requirements | Role | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon Warlord (Rage) Secret Update 3.0 | World Raid | Emperor's Kingdom World Raid | ~8% | Coordinate a team of 4–6 endgame players. Requires units with ≥5,000 DPS to survive the final phase. | boss-killer | |
|
Best burst unit in the Warlord arc. Rage phase triggers at boss HP ≤30%, doubling effective DPS for roughly 12 seconds. Tip: Stack Water God (Primordial) slow before the 30% threshold to maximise the Rage window. |
||||||
| Gluttonous Warlord (Despair) Secret Update 3.0 | World Raid | Warlord's Ship Raid | ~5% | Warlord's Ship Raid all acts. Multi-lane encounter — bring at least one split-coverage unit per team. | splash | |
|
Despair aura debuffs nearby enemies, amplifying team DPS. Community testing shows a 10–18% clear-time reduction on split-lane maps. Tip: Place before the merge zone so the Despair aura affects both lanes simultaneously. |
||||||
| Sharpshooter King (Trapper) Secret Update 3.0 | Legend Stage | Conquered Lands Legend Stage — Act 3 | ~3–4.35% per clear (pity at ~40 runs) | Complete all Conquered Lands Acts (1–2) first. Legend Stages scale harder than story mode. Community-estimated minimum: 3,000 avg-team DPS. | dps | |
|
Trapper form adds Pop Green ability — spawns Fly Eater, Bamboo, and Vine traps that deal passive damage between attack cycles. Excellent for long straight lanes. Tip: Farm Legend Stage Act 3 in groups of 2–4. The pity counter resets if you leave mid-run. |
||||||
| Mochi Pirate (Conqueror) Secret Update 3.0 | Featured Challenge | Mirror Dimension Featured Challenge | ~8% per clear | Featured Challenge is limited-time/rotating. Watch the in-game event calendar. Requires clearing all Mirror Dimension challenge stages. | hybrid | |
|
Conqueror form adds Mochi Bind — temporarily immobilises up to 3 enemies. Strong combo with any burst boss-killer. Tip: Event resets weekly. If you miss a week, the challenge may return in rotation — confirm on the UTDX Discord before burning resources on preparation. |
||||||
| Super Roku (Third Ascension) Secret Update 3.0 Part 2 | World Raid | Freakybuu Incident Raid OR evolve Super Roku (Enraged) | ~5–6% from raid; guaranteed via evolution path | Raid path: Complete Freakybuu Incident Raid (all acts). Evolution path: Own Super Roku (Enraged) + gather evolution materials (Phantom + Holy fragments). | dps | |
|
Third Ascension form has the highest raw DPS of the Roku line. Evolution path is slower but guaranteed if you own the base form. Tip: If you already have Super Roku (Enraged) from an older code reward, the evolution route is faster than grinding the raid. |
||||||
| Limit Breaker Prince (Marked) Secret Update 3.0 Part 2 | World Raid | Freakybuu Incident Raid — Act 5 (Corrupted Absorption) OR evolve Fallen Prince (Ruthless) | ~5–7% from Act 5; guaranteed via evolution | Act 5 unlocks after finishing Acts 1–4 of Corrupted Absorption. Raid bosses include Planet Destroyer, Marked Prince, and Absorption Alien. Evolution: own Fallen Prince (Ruthless) + Corrupted materials. | boss-killer | |
|
Performs multiple Follow-Up Attacks during boss-phase windows. Combined with Super Roku (Third Ascension) via Synchro Drive to form Fused Warrior (Super) — the strongest unit combination in the current meta. Tip: Don't farm Act 5 alone — the boss roster requires sustained team DPS of ~15,000+ to avoid time-out. |
||||||
| Fused Warrior Secret Update 3.0 Part 2 | Ultra Boss | Divine Wrath Ultra Boss stages | Variable — community reports 4–9% | Ultra Boss stages are endgame content requiring multiple cleared World Raids as prerequisites. Community minimum: have at least 2 Secret-tier units equipped before attempting. | dps | |
|
Base form of the Fused Warrior line. Can be evolved into Ultimate Fused Warrior (Boundless rarity) with specific materials. Synchro Drive unlock requires this unit. Tip: Clear Divine Wrath Normal and Hard before attempting Ultra. The DPS check is steep and pug groups often fail the final phase. |
||||||
| Evil Incarnate Secret Update 3.0 Part 2 | Gamemode | Otherworld Hell Gamemode — full clear | Guaranteed on first full clear (no RNG) | Complete all stages of the Otherworld Hell permanent gamemode. Stages get significantly harder past floor 15. Bring control (Water God or Ice Empress) for the long boss loops. | splash | |
|
One of the few Secret units with a guaranteed unlock — no drop-rate farming needed. The difficulty barrier is high, but the path is deterministic. Tip: This is the most beginner-friendly Secret unit to target if your team can handle the gamemode. No pity, no RNG — just clear it once. |
||||||
| Marine Hero (Grand Fist) Secret Update 3.0 | Gamemode | Marine Hero Trials | ~6% per trial completion | Marine Hero Trials gamemode. Timed waves with no respawn. Requires a balanced team covering damage, control, and boss-burst. | hybrid | |
|
Grand Fist form adds a Haki burst that ignores enemy armor for 8 seconds — uniquely effective against the Armor-type bosses in later waves. Tip: Bring Ice Empress specifically for the Trial finales — the last boss wave has extreme speed and Marine Hero's burst needs time to ramp up. |
||||||
| Pirate King (Voyage) Secret Update 3.0 | Gamemode | Admiral Defense Gamemode | ~7% on final wave clear | Admiral Defense is a permanent gamemode with escalating wave difficulty. Requires completion of the final Admiral wave to receive the unit drop. | boss-killer | |
|
Voyage form significantly outperforms the base Pirate King for boss-wave work. The Admiral Defense gamemode is also a solid gold farm route even when not targeting this unit. Tip: The Admiral Defense final wave has a split-lane mechanic. Stack split coverage first, then focus burst on the Admiral boss. |
||||||
| Crow Shinobi (Reanimated) Secret Update 3.0 | Legend Stage | Shinobi World War Legend Stage — Act 3 | ~3% per clear (community-tracked) | Complete Acts 1–2 of Shinobi World War Legend Stage first. Anti-speed mechanic: control units are unusually effective — Ice Empress strongly recommended. | dps | |
|
Reanimated form adds a confuse effect that causes nearby enemies to briefly target each other, reducing pressure on the player during crowded waves. Tip: The Shinobi World War stages have a speed-enemy bias. Run Ice Empress for every act, not just Act 3. |
||||||
| Mimicry Sorcerer (Cursed Love) Secret Prior to Update 3.0 | Evolution | Evolve Mimicry Sorcerer using Cursed Love materials | Guaranteed on material collection (no RNG unlock) | Own base Mimicry Sorcerer (Legendary). Collect Cursed Love fragment × 20 (drops from Warlord raids and Legend Stage completions). | support | |
|
Cursed Love form adds a copy-pressure aura that mirrors a portion of the adjacent carry's DPS as a secondary hit. Exceptional support for First Emperor or Alpha Devil slot builds. Tip: This is the easiest Secret-tier support to evolve. Farm Warlord raids anyway for Dragon Warlord materials — you collect Cursed Love fragments passively. |
||||||
| Ant King (Savage) Secret Prior to Update 3.0 | World Raid | Ant King World Raid | ~6–8% on Elite mode clear | Ant King World Raid is a permanent content raid. Requires clearing Normal and Hard difficulties before the Savage drop becomes available on Elite mode. | hybrid | |
|
Savage form adds improved summon pressure and a boss-add clear ability. Evolution materials (EVO) are also available from this raid for further upgrade paths. Tip: Don't skip Normal and Hard mode clears — they drop EVO materials used for evolution upgrades and count toward unlock prerequisites. |
||||||
| Maximum Bio-Android (Disaster) Secret Update 3.0 | World Raid | Maximum Bio-Android World Raid | ~5–6% on final phase clear | World Raid requires full 6-player team. All players must complete prior story content. Disaster form drops from the raid's final phase only. | dps | |
|
Disaster form absorbs a portion of enemy HP as its own energy, making it uniquely self-sustaining on long endurance stages. Tip: Coordinate timing on the final phase — the raid timer is tight and failed runs do not award drop chances. |

Recommended unlock paths — where to start
With 14 Secret units across 6 unlock types, it helps to pick a path that matches your current team strength. Below are four common approaches the UTDX community uses, from the most beginner-accessible to full endgame min-maxing.
Evil Incarnate via Otherworld Hell Gamemode — no RNG, guaranteed on first full clear. Also farm Warlord raids passively to collect Cursed Love fragments for Mimicry Sorcerer (Cursed Love) evolution.
Dragon Warlord (Rage) from Emperor's Kingdom World Raid (~8% drop). Run with a 4–6 player coordinated team. The Rage window doubles DPS against boss HP thresholds — strongest single-target burst in the Warlord update.
Unlock Super Roku (Third Ascension) + Limit Breaker Prince (Marked) via Freakybuu Incident Raid or respective evolutions. Combine both in team to activate Fused Warrior (Super) Synchro Drive — strongest unit combo in Update 3.0 Part 2.
Sharpshooter King (Trapper) from Conquered Lands Act 3 (~3–4% drop, pity ~40 runs) + Crow Shinobi (Reanimated) from Shinobi World War Act 3 (~3%). Both Legend Stages can be farmed in rotation. Bring Ice Empress for Shinobi World War.
Not sure which team can handle these raids? Check the best builds page for wave-threshold loadouts, or run your current units through the DPS calculator to see whether you hit the minimum DPS for a given raid's final phase.
World raid secret units — what to expect
Seven of the fourteen Secret units come from World Raids. Raids differ from standard stages in a few important ways: they require a full team (most need 4–6 players), they scale harder than story content, and the final phase usually has a strict DPS check. A team that cannot clear the final phase within the time limit gets nothing — there is no partial credit on failed raids.
The raid roster for Secret drops as of Update 3.0 Part 2:
- Emperor's Kingdom World Raid — drops Dragon Warlord (Rage) at ~8%. Multi-phase fight with an armor mechanic on the second boss. Bring Devil Hunter for armor-ignore, or prepare to extend control uptime significantly to compensate.
- Warlord's Ship Raid — drops Gluttonous Warlord (Despair) at ~5%. Split-lane encounter. Two separate boss paths converge near the end; teams that stack one lane lose the other. Coverage-first builds outperform raw DPS here.
- Freakybuu Incident Raid — drops both Super Roku (Third Ascension) (~5–6%) and Limit Breaker Prince (Marked) (~5–7%) from different acts. Running this raid is the most efficient use of time if you need both units for the Synchro Drive combo. Act 5 (Corrupted Absorption) is the hardest and requires completing Acts 1–4 first.
- Ant King World Raid — drops Ant King (Savage) at ~6–8% on Elite difficulty. Normal and Hard modes still drop EVO materials, so earlier difficulties are not wasted runs.
- Maximum Bio-Android World Raid — drops Maximum Bio-Android (Disaster) at ~5–6% from the final phase. Strict timer; failed clears award no drop. Coordinate final-phase burst carefully.
General raid tip: always check whether your unit level meets the raid's soft DPS gate before queuing. A team with one under-leveled slot often causes the entire group to fail the final phase timer, which resets everyone's drop chance for that run.
After a successful raid, use the relics guide to see which relic slots pair best with freshly-unlocked Secret raid units. Relic choices shift significantly once you move from Legendary to Secret-tier carries.
Legend stage secret units — grinding with a pity floor
Two Secret units come from Legend Stages: Sharpshooter King (Trapper) from Conquered Lands Act 3 and Crow Shinobi (Reanimated) from Shinobi World War Act 3. Legend Stages are permanent content, so you can farm them without worrying about event timers.
What makes Legend Stages different from raids:
- You can attempt them solo or with a smaller group (2–4 players is typical).
- The difficulty scales harder than story mode but generally softer than World Raids.
- Both Act 3s have a pity system — community tracking confirms Sharpshooter King pity at roughly 40 runs. The pity counter resets if you leave mid-run or disconnect.
- Act 3 is locked until you finish Acts 1 and 2 of the same Legend Stage series.
For Conquered Lands, the minimum recommended team DPS is roughly 3,000. For Shinobi World War, bring Ice Empress or Water God — the stage has an unusual speed-enemy density that punishes control-light builds more than raw DPS shortfalls. Both stages pair well with the builds on the best builds page under the wave 50 and wave 80 sections.
If you are farming both Legend Stages in rotation, track your run count manually. Neither stage shows the pity counter in the UI.
Evolution path secret units — the deterministic route
Three Secret units unlock via evolution with no RNG on the final step: Mimicry Sorcerer (Cursed Love), and the evolution paths for Super Roku (Third Ascension) and Limit Breaker Prince (Marked) if you already own the base forms. Evolution is generally slower than raiding but removes variance entirely.
How evolution works for Secret units:
- Own the prerequisite unit at the required upgrade level (usually L3+ for evolution to become available).
- Collect the specific material fragments. Most Secret evolution materials drop from the same World Raids that also drop the unit directly — farming the raid is often dual-purpose.
- Open the unit menu, select Evolve, and confirm. The upgrade is instant and irreversible.
- Evolved Secret units often gain new abilities or improved versions of existing ones (Mimicry Sorcerer's Cursed Love aura is added, not replaced).
Mimicry Sorcerer (Cursed Love) is worth prioritizing if you farm Warlord raids anyway: Cursed Love fragments drop passively from both Dragon Warlord (Emperor's Kingdom) and Gluttonous Warlord (Warlord's Ship) raids. You can collect the 20 fragments needed without dedicating specific sessions to the evolution path.
Synchro Drive — combining Secret units into a higher tier
Synchro Drive is a combination mechanic introduced in Update 3.0 Part 2 that merges two specific units into a single, more powerful form during battle. The only confirmed Synchro Drive combination as of June 2026 is:
- Super Roku (Third Ascension) + Limit Breaker Prince (Marked) → Fused Warrior (Super)
Fused Warrior (Super) is classified as Synchro Drive tier — above Secret, below Boundless. It is the strongest combined form in the current meta. To activate it:
- Have both Super Roku (Third Ascension) and Limit Breaker Prince (Marked) in your active team loadout simultaneously.
- Both units must be placed on the map (not just in roster). The Synchro Drive indicator appears when both are active in a wave.
- The Fused Warrior (Super) form activates automatically for a limited duration during boss waves based on a charge mechanic. It does not replace either unit permanently — they revert after the activation window.
Acquiring both units takes significant investment: Freakybuu Incident Raid multiple times (or both evolution paths). This is an endgame goal, not a beginner target. Start the path by unlocking whichever of the two base units suits your current team more — Limit Breaker Prince (Marked) adds Follow-Up Attacks useful even without the combo, and Super Roku (Third Ascension) is a strong standalone DPS carry. See the best units 2026 ranking for how each performs in the current meta without the combo active.

FAQ
What are secret units in Universal Tower Defense X?
Secret rarity is one of the rarest unit tiers in UTDX, sitting above Legendary and Mythic. Secret units are not pulled from standard banners — they require completing specific raids, legend stages, gamemodes, or evolution paths. As of Update 3.0 Part 2 (June 2026), there are around 14 confirmed Secret-tier units.
How do I unlock Dragon Warlord in UTDX?
Dragon Warlord (Rage) drops from the Emperor's Kingdom World Raid at approximately 8% per clear. You need a coordinated team with high-DPS units to survive the final phase. It was introduced in Update 3.0.
What is the easiest Secret unit to get in UTDX?
Evil Incarnate has no RNG — it is guaranteed on your first full clear of the Otherworld Hell Gamemode. Mimicry Sorcerer (Cursed Love) is also guaranteed via evolution once you collect Cursed Love fragments from Warlord raids. These two are the most deterministic Secret unlocks.
Can secret units be obtained from banners in UTDX?
Most Secret units require raids, legend stages, or gamemodes rather than banners. Merciless God is an exception — it drops from the Universal Festival Banner at a very low 0.005% rate. Track your summons manually as pity is not displayed in the UI.
How many Secret units are in UTDX?
As of Update 3.0 Part 2 (June 2026), community wikis confirm around 14 distinct Secret-rarity units, with more expected in future updates. Some are base forms that can be evolved into even rarer tiers like Synchro Drive, Boundless, or Unrivaled.
What is the drop rate for Sharpshooter King?
Sharpshooter King (Trapper) drops from Conquered Lands Legend Stage Act 3 at approximately 3–4.35% per clear. Community tracking shows a pity trigger around 40 runs. Complete Acts 1 and 2 first to unlock Act 3.
How does the Synchro Drive work for secret units?
Synchro Drive combines Super Roku (Third Ascension) and Limit Breaker Prince (Marked) into Fused Warrior (Super) — a Synchro Drive tier unit above Secret. Both base units must be in your team simultaneously to trigger the combination, making this the most powerful unit combination available as of Update 3.0 Part 2.
Do secret unit drop rates have pity?
Pity varies by unit. Sharpshooter King (Trapper) has community-confirmed pity at ~40 runs. Most raid-drop Secret units do not have visible pity counters, but community testing suggests soft pity for several. The banner secret unit (Merciless God) has an estimated soft pity between 500–600 summons.
